Kid's Ministry

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.   ~ Proverbs 22:6 NIV

Multi-generational Community

LHCC strives to be a singular church family who welcomes people from birth to 100. Besides occasional age specific activities and learning opportunities, we welcome people to worship as entire family. Seeing parents and kids worshipping with grandparents and cousins is a precious thing. None of our programming prohibits on the basis of age. If people of any age confess Jesus as Lord and Savior, they are part of Christ's body and welcome to enjoy the family God here in Richland.

Children and Youth Programs

Every Sunday we offer Kids' Church for children aged 5 thru grade 5.

Teen events are scheduled periodically and the majority of our church-wide events are suitable for all ages.

Prior to the Worship Service

While our published service time begins at 9:30 a.m., we have kid friendly praise and worship 15 minutes prior. Join us at 9:15 a.m. each Sunday for singing designed especially for the younger crowd. We sing many classic Sunday School songs as well as new music by which to worship and grow. Even many adults join in! For a sample of our children's music, click here.

During the Worship Service

Every Sunday the children are invited to sit on the platform steps for a brief children's sermon prior to Kids' Church. Services at Living Hope Community Church are family friendly so that young children are entirely welcome to remain in the sanctuary. And, if your baby or young child is having a squirmy day, feel free to take them into our community room, which is adjacent to the sanctuary and equipped with a speaker and large windows. We also offer a nursery staffed by Living Hope volunteers and open to children from birth through 4 years old.

God Nuggets 4 Kids!

Most weeks, families receive a direct link to a brief, 5-10 minute devotional thought from Pastor Jamey or another leader in our kids' ministry. These short videos offer important thoughts for young thinkers. Not only are they intended to help grow godly men and women, in the spirit of Deuteronomy 6:6-8 they serve to stimulate "as you go" conversations, helping parents and kids dialogue together about our marvelous Savior.
